Like most small towns Redding has fast food restaurants, chain restaurants, hometown restaurants, ethnic restaurants and a seasonal hotdog stand outside the post office. There are restaurants in gas stations, shacks in parking lots, wedged in aging strip malls, places that have been around so long they seem part of the landscape. With more than 275 restaurants reviewed in Yelp, it seems the difficulty in finding a restaurant would be the confusion of overwhelming variety. It turns out it might be lack of imagination.
My quixotic ambition to eat at every restaurant in town lead to writing about my dining experiences with restaurant reviews, recipes, and all things culinary in Redding, California, and beyond.
